About Me

Tim “Murf” Murphy is an Associate Broker licensed in Virginia and West Virginia who also holds certifications as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®). I spent a career as a pilot in the Air Force and since have worked in businesses which indulge my desire to help people thrive. There is no more satisfying place for seeing people thrive than finding the home of their dreams, or remove the worries of a life transition by a successful close on the sale of a home. I work with my wife Jan, who is also a REALTOR®. We are passionate about helping others and are experienced in helping others see themselves as whole, integrated people and make important decisions, especially about housing, from that crucial perspective. Thirteen-year Virginia residents, we have established our own homes in four different communities in all three Northern Virginia counties closest to Washington, DC. I am particularly eager to help US military members and government workers moving in or out of Northern Virginia or West Virginia. My career required our family to move in and out of Virginia three times, and I’ve established homes in several communities of Virginia, both north and south, so I know the joys and difficulties of such transitions. Likewise, I particularly love to help senior Americans who, in the inevitable transitions of life are facing the special considerations of housing for their senior years.
